Cherry Blossom - Sakura March 2006

"IF I CAN NOT SEND YOU FLOWERS, AT LEAST I SEND THE PICTURE OF THE FLOWERS" :-))

That's a small conversation with an old friend who has a chance to see Cherry blossom this year. By then, I feel that is very cute and funny conversation. But surprisingly, another friend send the cherry blossom picture too in the next four days. Ofcourse, I have a chance to see this flower this week. Why cherry blossom flower become a great flower in Japan ?

This year, cherry blossom in Japan was started by 21 March according to web site, my Japanese friend already asked me, when I can come to Tokyo ???.

New Delhi - 2006

NEW DELHI has changed a lot since 5 years ago, I can not imagine a lot of toll road every where. A long the road, I see a lot of banners, saying new Airport 2010, Olympic 2016. The tourism seems to be aggressive now, infrastructure is built aggressively. The trip is only for the short days, so I could not take many pictures as usual. But wait, the food was so fantastic. We found a restaurant around the hotel named Bukhara. Bukhara has been declared the Best Indian Restaurant in the world for 2004, by 'The Restaurant Magazine', UK. It has also been voted the Best Restaurant in Asia and is the only Indian restaurant to feature in the list of 50 Best Restaurants in the World. I really enjoy the food especially the maggo lassi....

Haw Par Villa - Chinese Mythology

Singapore's Haw Par Villa was built in 1937 by Tiger Balm King, Aw Boon Haw who is a Burmese. It was destroyed in World WarII but he rebuilt it from 1950 to 1959 and was known as Tiger Balm Garden. There are some gardens in Singapore beside Botanic Garden, but Haw Par Villa is more telling about the Chinese Ancient Mythology. It is located around Pasir Panjang Road. Although I have been staying here for more than 5 years, but this is a first time to visit this place. If you like Tiger Balm, you can buy here as souvenir and admission to Haw Par Villa is free except to 10 courts of hell have to pay admission $2
